Conditions applicable to certification services

The applicant of a computing component certificate for external entities issued by the PKI of Banco de España must:

  1. Provide exact, complete and truthful information regarding the details requested to issue the certificate.
  2. Inform the Banco de España of any change to this information.
  3. Read and accept the conditions of use of the certificates, particularly those contained in the SCP and the CP, as well as the modifications to the same.
  4. Limit and adapt the use of the certificate to that established in the SCP and the CP.
  5. Apply the necessary care and measures to guarantee the safekeeping of the private key associated to the certificate, avoiding it being lost, copied or its unauthorised use.
  6. Immediately request the revocation of the certificate should any inaccuracies be detected in the information contained in the same or in the event of knowledge or suspicion of the loss of reliability of the private key associated to the certificate, due, amongst other reasons, to loss, suspicion of copying or unauthorised use.
  7. Not monitor, manipulate or carry out acts of reverse engineering on the certificate or private associated key.
  8. Not transfer nor delegate the responsibility of the certificate which has been assigned to them to any third party.
  9. Comply with any other rule arising from the applicable regulations, SCP or CP.

Protection of personal information

The information provided by the applicant on this form will be loaded into automated files which belong to the Banco de España in order to manage the PKI and to issue the certificate. Part of said information is considered to be of a personal nature according to that stipulated in the OLPD and other supplementary regulations and, for this reason, third parties are not allowed access to said information. Applicants may exercise their rights to access, rectify, cancel and oppose this information by contacting the PKI Authority of Approval Policies of the Banco de España at the postal address c./Alcalá, 48 28014 Madrid (Spain).

The PKI of the Banco de España, as a Certification Service Provider, does not accept responsibility for the content of the documents signed using its certificates, such as message or communication encrypting processes.
